bio

In both new and remodeling projects, I strive for buildings that are thoughtful to the environment, comfortable on a human scale, and grow from their setting and landscape. With experience on projects across the country, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Texas, and West Virginia, I am sensitive to variations in local conditions. While certain good design principles are universal, successful architecture embraces the nuances of geography, climate, and local customs.

My background in engineering and architecture enables me to be both creative and practical when it comes to planning. I advise where money is best spent and where costs might be kept down without detracting from your overall goals. Crafting beautiful spaces within real budgetary constraints is something I take great pride in as your architect.

I enjoy a close working relationship with my clients. This interaction allows me to fully understand what inspires you most and determine what is necessary to bring warmth and character to any project, large or small.
